Two hours of pushin’ broom…

Yes, I titled this entry after the song King of the Road by Roger Miller. Why would I do this you ask? After all, I am 25…not 65. Well, the answer is simple. I don’t know you well enough to get into it right now.

Anywho, the Kings finally won a roadie against the seemingly not trying 76ers. It still counts though, I looked it up. The Celtics game was upsetting because they could have won but decided that the fourth quarter was for turnovers and missed shots.

The win against Philly showed a recipe for future success. Passing and hitting shots gives you a good chance to win. Learning is fun. And I don’t mean the ‘NBA players saying that reading is fun to fulfill contractual obligations even though most of them can’t read’ kind of fun. Reading is fun and important? Thanks, SHAQ!!!

So far on the trip the Kings are 1-2, with another loss coming tonight to the Wizards. It was a familiar tune for the Kings. The Wizards played awful, yet the Kings played even worse. Another blown opportunity.

I have set the acceptable baseline for this trip at 2-3. All they have to do is beat either New Jersey on Tuesday or Milwaukee on Wednesday for it to be considered an OK trip. Though I suspect that the win had better come in New Jersey, as back to backs on the road never end well.

Focus all your mental energy on the betterment of Kevin Martin’s groin, Kings fans. I know I know…you’re already there.
